One Honest Note Up Front

Choosing to reduce your dependence on glasses is a considered decision, and the cost deserves to be just as clear before you commit. This hub is the price-comparison engine for our whole refractive range — every verified figure in one master table, plus what drives the differences, what sits outside the package, and how EMI and insurance actually work.

Every figure here is an indicative, starting-from range, never a fixed quote — your exact cost is confirmed only after a detailed eye examination, because it depends on your eyes and the technique that genuinely suits them.

The Master Table

How Much Does Specs-Removal / Refractive Surgery Cost in Gurgaon?

The honest answer is that there is no single flat price. Refractive surgery — specs removal, correcting your glasses number or power — is personalised, and the cost rises with the technology and the level of customisation your eyes need. As a guide, laser vision correction here starts from around ₹30,000 per eye for SBK LASIK and extends to SMILE from ₹1,25,000 per eye at the advanced end.

The table below compares the full ladder side by side. Read the pricing-basis column carefully: most laser procedures are quoted per eye, but the Contoura Vision tiers are quoted for both eyes.

Refractive surgery pricing — indicative starting-from ranges (Verified Clinical Data 2023–2025; subject to consultation)
ProcedureIndicative starting-fromPricing basisOften suits
SBK LASIK₹30,000 – ₹40,000Per eyeStandard powers wanting an economical blade-assisted LASIK option
Standard LASIKFrom ₹40,000Per eyeCommon myopia, hyperopia or astigmatism with adequate corneal thickness (typically ₹70,000–₹84,000)
Femto LASIK (bladeless)₹80,000 – ₹1,00,000Per eyeThose wanting an all-laser, blade-free flap
PRK / Epi-Contoura / StreamLight (surface)₹40,000 – ₹70,000Per eyeThinner corneas, contact-sport or high-impact lifestyles
Contoura Vision with blade₹55,000 – ₹75,000Both eyesMap-guided correction at an accessible entry point
Contoura with Femto LASIK (bladeless)₹95,000 – ₹1,10,000Both eyesFully bladeless, topography-guided personalisation
Epi-Contoura (surface PRK with laser)₹65,000 – ₹90,000Both eyesTopography-guided correction on thinner corneas
SMILE (ReLEx SMILE)From ₹1,25,000Per eyeMyopia with or without astigmatism; dry-eye-prone or active patients
ICL / Phakic IOL (lens-based)On consultationHigh powers, thin corneas or dry eyes where laser is not suitable
Ortho-K lenses (non-surgical)On consultationOvernight lens-based correction where surgery is not chosen

Pricing basis (per eye vs both eyes) is stated as recorded in our source data and must be confirmed against the current fee schedule before you rely on any figure. Every range is starting-from and subject to an individual consultation and eye examination.

Lens-based correction such as an ICL / phakic IOL is the usual route when laser is not suitable — very high powers, thin corneas or significant dry eye — and its pricing is confirmed for your specific case at consultation, as is Ortho-K. For deeper, procedure-specific breakdowns, see our dedicated LASIK surgery cost, Contoura Vision cost and SMILE surgery cost pages.

What Changes the Price

What Affects Your Refractive Surgery Cost?

Two people can walk in with a similar glasses number and receive different estimates — and that is not a pricing quirk. It reflects how the treatment is tailored to each eye. The main factors your surgeon weighs:

01
The technology and platform used
A blade (microkeratome) technique sits at the more affordable end; all-laser bladeless work on the Alcon WaveLight EX500 or ZEISS VisuMax, and topography-guided planning, cost more.
02
The complexity of your prescription and cornea
Higher powers, astigmatism and thinner corneas need more precise, sometimes more advanced, treatment planning.
03
The degree of customisation
A standard correction differs in cost from a personalised, map-guided Contoura Vision treatment built around your cornea’s own topography.
04
Surface versus flap versus flapless
Surface procedures (PRK, Epi-Contoura, StreamLight) and flapless SMILE follow different cost paths from flap-based LASIK.
05
Pricing basis — one or both eyes
Some ranges are quoted per eye and some for both eyes, so always confirm the basis in your itemised estimate.
06
Add-ons
Pre-surgery screening, medicines and follow-up visits are usually costed separately (detailed below).

Why Does the Cost Vary From Patient to Patient?

Refractive surgery is not an off-the-shelf product, and the same named technology can be delivered by more than one route. Contoura Vision is the clearest example: performed with a blade it ranges from about ₹55,000 to ₹75,000 for both eyes; as a bladeless Femto LASIK procedure, about ₹95,000 to ₹1,10,000; and as a surface Epi-Contoura treatment, about ₹65,000 to ₹90,000. Same technology, three routes — priced for the eye in front of us.

This is why we never hand out a fixed quote over the phone. A thorough evaluation — including corneal mapping on the OCULUS Pentacam and ray-tracing analysis on the iTRACE — tells us which technique is safest and most effective for your eyes, and only then can we give you an accurate, itemised estimate. Being guided to the right procedure, rather than the most expensive one, is part of specialist-led care.

No Hidden Line Items

What Is Included, and What Costs Extra?

Your surgical estimate centres on the procedure itself — the surgeon's expertise, the laser treatment and your daycare visit. A few related items are usually costed separately, so it helps to plan for them up front.

Individual diagnostic tests, where billed separately, are modest — most sit between about ₹300 and ₹1,200 each (for example slit-lamp examination, biometry, tonometry or a retinal check). At your consultation we walk you through a clear, itemised estimate covering all of this, so nothing is sprung on you later.

Typical add-ons — indicative, subject to consultation
ItemIndicative cost
Pre-surgery screening / eye evaluation₹3,000 – ₹3,500
Post-surgery medicines (eye drops etc.)About ₹3,000

Starting Point

Which Refractive Surgery Is Most Affordable?

The most accessible starting point on our ladder is SBK LASIK, from around ₹30,000 per eye, followed by standard LASIK from ₹40,000 and surface procedures from ₹40,000 per eye. But affordable is not the same as right for you. A very economical option that does not suit your cornea, power or lifestyle is no saving at all — our surgeons will always tell you honestly which options are appropriate for your eyes and why, so your money goes toward the treatment that fits.

Beyond the Price Tag

Looking Beyond the Price Tag: How to Judge Value

A candid word, surgeon to patient: the price is the least important number on this page. What actually determines whether your surgery is money well spent is suitability — whether the right procedure was chosen for your eye — and the quality of the evaluation, the surgeon and the follow-up behind it.

≈ 9 in 10

Across large published studies, roughly 9 in 10 LASIK patients achieve 20/20 to 20/40 uncorrected vision. Those outcomes rest on careful candidate selection — not on which centre quoted the lowest figure.

These are general research findings, not a promise, and individual results vary. Source: American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), LASIK — Laser Eye Surgery patient information.

When you compare centres — and you should — compare like for like, on things you can verify:

Who performs the surgery, their qualifications and case volume, and whether you meet them beforehand.

Which diagnostics are included — corneal tomography such as Pentacam mapping is essential screening, not a luxury.

Whether the estimate is itemised in writing, with follow-up visits and medicines stated.

Whether the centre offers the full ladder of procedures, so the recommendation follows your eye rather than the one machine available.

Accreditation (such as NABH) and how post-operative care is organised.

Insurance & EMI

Is Refractive Surgery Covered by Insurance? Can I Pay in EMI?

Honestly, cover is usually limited. Refractive and LASIK procedures are generally considered elective — chosen to reduce dependence on glasses rather than to treat disease — so most health insurance policies do not reimburse them. We would rather tell you that plainly than leave you guessing. Where a procedure has a documented medical indication, we work with cashless insurance and TPA networks, and with CGHS, ECHS, Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) and Health Department Haryana for eligible conditions; our team will help you check your policy.

FAQs

Refractive Surgery Cost in Gurgaon — Frequently Asked Questions

There is no single flat price — refractive surgery is personalised. At Dayal Eye Centre, SBK LASIK starts from around ₹30,000 per eye and the ladder extends to SMILE from ₹1,25,000 per eye, with LASIK, Femto LASIK, Contoura Vision and surface options in between. Every figure is starting-from and subject to an individual consultation and eye examination; the master table above compares all options.

It differs by procedure in our source data: most laser procedures are quoted per eye, while the Contoura Vision tiers are quoted for both eyes. The basis is stated in the table, and your itemised estimate at consultation confirms the exact total for your treatment, including any add-ons.

The most accessible starting point is SBK LASIK, from around ₹30,000 per eye, followed by standard LASIK and surface procedures from ₹40,000 per eye. The right choice, though, depends on your cornea, power and lifestyle — our surgeons match the technique to your eyes rather than to a price tag.

Usually only to a limited extent, because refractive procedures are generally elective. We work with cashless insurance and TPA networks and with CGHS, ECHS, Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) and Health Department Haryana for eligible eye conditions — see our policies and insurance page, and our team will confirm what applies to you.

Yes. We offer Easy EMI via Savein, along with select NBFC partners and debit-card EMI options (a nominal processing fee may apply on some plans). Our team explains eligibility and the available plans at your consultation.

ICL / phakic IOL pricing depends on the lens chosen and your eyes, so it is confirmed for your specific case at consultation rather than published as a range. Book an appointment and consult with our doctors for a clear, personalised estimate.

Plan for pre-surgery screening (about ₹3,000–₹3,500), post-surgery medicines (about ₹3,000) and follow-up visits (about ₹1,000 each for LASIK). SMILE follow-ups are free for the first month. Everything is set out in your itemised written estimate before you decide.

Because refractive surgery is personalised. Your final estimate reflects the technique that suits your cornea and power, the degree of customisation, the pricing basis (per eye or both eyes), and any add-ons — confirmed only after a detailed eye examination, which is why we never give a fixed quote over the phone.

All prices on this page are indicative starting-from ranges (per-eye or both-eyes basis as stated in the table) and do not constitute a fixed quote. Your exact cost is confirmed only after an individual consultation and eye examination, and is subject to change; please re-verify current fees with the centre. Suitability for any refractive procedure depends on a detailed evaluation, and not every patient qualifies. All surgery carries some risk, which your surgeon will discuss with you. Individual results vary based on eye condition, prescription/power range, corneal thickness, age, overall eye health and healing response.
