Figures below come from the peer-reviewed FDA topography-guided (T-CAT) trial of Contoura Vision and a 640-eye multi-centre follow-up study — not from our own marketing.
Uncorrected distance vision one year after Contoura in the FDA T-CAT trial.
Sharper than the standard 6/6 line — the reason Contoura is chosen over standard LASIK.
Across 640 topography-guided eyes at four centres (2020 multi-centre review).
On our 500 Hz WaveLight EX500 with 1050 Hz eye tracking; total theatre time about 15 minutes.

Dayal Eye Centre supports individuals in improving vision clarity while offering cost-effective eye care solutions. Our centre provides convenient access, ultramodern facilities, and three modular operation theatres for cataract, retina and laser vision correction surgeries. Our specialists use advanced tools and personalised methods to deliver precise and painless care.

Because we run both the Alcon WaveLight EX500 and the ZEISS VisuMax, your work-up decides the procedure. If your cornea is better suited to a flapless SMILE or a surface treatment, we will tell you so — and we routinely decline candidates whose corneal maps do not support laser correction.

Contoura Vision surgery, or topography-guided LASIK, relies on a precise digital map of your cornea to provide personalised treatment. The advanced technology allows the laser to selectively target even the smallest imperfections on the surface of the cornea, which are typically the cause of refractive errors like nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. The procedure refines the curvature of the cornea, allowing light to pass correctly into the eye, resulting in improved and more focused sight.
Genetics: A significant family history of refractive errors may increase the risk of developing similar vision problems.
Abnormal Eye Shape: Differences in the length of the eye or the shape of the cornea and lens can result in improper refraction of light.
Age-Related Changes: Normal aging processes may result in presbyopia, where the eye loses the capability to focus on near objects.
Environmental Factors: Long hours of screen use, inadequate lighting, and too much near work can tire the eyes and lead to refractive errors.
Concerned about your vision? Schedule an eye exam at Dayal Eye Centre today for personalised care and treatment.
Refractive errors show up differently at different distances. Common signs include,
Blurred Vision: Vision is hazy because the eye cannot focus light correctly on the retina.
Difficulty Seeing Close: Difficulty focusing on close objects usually indicates hyperopia or presbyopia.
Halos or Glare Around Light: Irregularly shaped eyes scatter light, leading to haloes or glare around bright lights.
Eye Strain: Ongoing effort to focus results in fatigue and sore eyes, particularly after reading or computer use.
Double Vision: Astigmatism can result in two overlapping images, even with one eye closed.
Squinting: Constant squinting is a reflex response to blurred vision and trying harder to see.
Headaches: Uncorrected vision issues typically lead to headaches because of persistent eye strain and squinting.
Our skilled ophthalmologists conduct thorough assessments to determine your eligibility. This checklist is indicative — only a detailed corneal assessment can confirm your candidacy.

|---|---|---|---|
| Contoura LASIK | A corneal flap is lifted and the topography-guided excimer laser smooths the surface using the elevation map. | Regular corneas with adequate thickness, stable power. | WaveLight EX500 |
| Femto Contoura | The flap is created with a femtosecond laser instead of a blade, then treated with Contoura. | Patients wanting a fully bladeless flap. | LASIK surgery |
| Epi-Contoura / PRK | A flap-free surface treatment guided by the same topographic map, with a longer healing window. | Thinner corneas or contact-sport professions. | Specs removal options |
| ICL (lens-based) | An implantable lens is placed inside the eye rather than reshaping the cornea. | Very high powers or corneas unsuited to laser. | Refractive options |

If your corneal map points somewhere other than Contoura, the alternative is already in the same building.
Named, real laser platforms — every Contoura treatment at Dayal is planned and performed on these machines.
At Dayal Eye Centre, we perform the following tests with the latest machinery to ensure precise evaluations — eight checks completed before we say yes to surgery.
We say no when the map says no. Thin or irregular corneas, suspicious topography, unstable prescriptions and untreated dry eye all disqualify a patient from Contoura at our centre — we would rather move you to a surface procedure, ICL or spectacles than treat a cornea that should not be treated.
Dayal Eye Centre takes a detailed and personalised approach to Contoura Vision correction. Both eyes may be treated at the same time, with an improvement in vision within a day or two.
It starts with an in-depth vision check and a one-on-one consultation to understand your eye health and visual needs.
If you qualify, we undertake advanced corneal mapping with a topographer to map your cornea in 3D across 22,000+ points.
This information enables us to develop a customised treatment plan designed to achieve better visual results for your eye specifically.
On the surgery day, we numb your eye with local anaesthesia in drop form to make the procedure pain-free. You stay awake throughout.
A thin layer of corneal tissue called a corneal flap is gently made with a femtosecond laser or microkeratome.
We then reshape the cornea with precision using the Contoura Vision laser to correct refractive errors and smooth irregularities.
The flap is replaced without stitching and heals on its own. No bandage or patch is required in most cases.
Both of your eyes may be treated at the same time, with an improvement in vision within a day or two, and a review the next morning.
Resting. Light blurriness, light sensitivity, or watery eyes are normal. Follow prescribed eye drops and avoid computer use or heavy work.
Vision starts to get clearer. Light reading is okay, but don’t strain your eyes too much. Discuss safe exercises with our doctor.
Most of the daily activities seem lighter as clarity increases. Going back to work is mostly possible now.
Recovery is nearing completion and visual acuity is still improving. This is when we book your follow-up review.
Enjoy the freedom of clear vision. Stay consistent with regular checkups for long-term eye health and stability.
