Cataract Treatment Cost in Gurgaon

Cataract surgery at Dayal Eye Centre starts from ₹20,000 per eye. Most patients fall between ₹26,000 and ₹93,000 per eye — and what moves the number is almost entirely the intraocular lens you choose, not the surgery itself.

Technique Pricing

Cataract Surgery Types and Their Costs

The surgical technique is chosen on the density of your cataract, the health of your cornea and the support behind your lens — not on budget. Here is what each costs.

Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Surgery (FLACS)On consultation

Femtosecond laser-assisted surgery (FLACS) is quoted on consultation — see the FLACS page for how the laser step changes the plan.

Phacoemulsification

The standard: ultrasound breaks up the lens, which is removed through a self-sealing ~2.2 mm incision. No stitches.

MICS

The same principle through an even smaller incision.

ECCE and ICCE

Manual techniques reserved for very dense or hypermature cataracts, or eyes where the lens support is not intact. Larger incision, stitches, slower recovery.

FLACS

Replaces the first three steps with a femtosecond laser. Priced on consultation, because the laser step is added to the technique and lens your eye needs.

The Part You Decide

Cataract Lens Price List at Dayal Eye Centre

The lens is the part of your bill you actually decide, and it is worth understanding what you are deciding between. There is no lens that does everything — each type trades one thing for another.

The published evidence on this choice, so you can weigh it yourself

01

A Cochrane review of 20 randomised trials (2,061 people, 3,194 eyes) found multifocal IOLs reduce spectacle dependence, but halos were around 3.5× more common and glare around 1.4× more common than with monofocal lenses. The reviewers concluded that motivation to achieve spectacle independence is likely to be the deciding factor (de Silva et al., 2016).

02

A meta-analysis of 13 randomised trials (1,413 eyes) found toric IOLs give better uncorrected distance vision, about 0.37 D less residual astigmatism, and significantly greater spectacle independence, with no significant increase in complications (Kessel et al., Ophthalmology, 2016).

03

Registry analysis of 89,947 eyes found Nd:YAG laser capsulotomy for posterior capsule opacification was needed in 4.1% of monofocal and 21.2% of diffractive multifocal/EDOF implants (Horn et al., 2022). This is a short in-clinic laser treatment, not another operation — but it is a real difference between lens types and you should know it before you choose.

Factors That Affect Cataract Surgery Cost in Gurgaon

Cataract surgery in Gurgaon ranges from around ₹20,000 to ₹1,50,000 per eye. What decides where in that range you sit:

01
The intraocular lens

By some distance the largest single variable. A monofocal and a trifocal are the same operation with a very different bill.

02
The lens brand and model

Premium platforms from TECNIS, ACRYSOF, Zeiss and Rayner sit at different price points.

03
The surgical technique

Phacoemulsification, MICS, manual ECCE/ICCE and femtosecond laser assistance all carry different costs.

04
The diagnostic tests your eye needs

A straightforward eye needs the standard workup; a cornea with astigmatism, a macula that needs OCT monitoring or a coexisting glaucoma needs more.

05
Whether one eye or both

And over what interval the second eye is operated.

06
Coexisting eye conditions

A cataract behind a diabetic retina or alongside glaucoma involves more assessment and, sometimes, additional treatment.

07
Pre- and post-operative medication

Drops and medicines prescribed around your surgery.

08
Follow-up beyond the standard period

Extra review visits, where your eye needs them.

Compare Properly

What to Check Before You Choose

The lowest quote and the highest quote in Gurgaon are usually not comparing the same thing. Before you commit anywhere, ask these seven questions — of us and of anyone else you are considering.

01
Who will actually operate?

Ask for the surgeon’s name, qualification and cataract experience — not the hospital’s. At Dayal: a senior surgeon, and the doctor who assesses you is the doctor who operates. Our Director has performed 80,000+ cataract surgeries.

02
What is in the quoted price, and what is not?

Get the inclusions in writing. Ours are listed above.

03
Which lens is quoted?

A price without a named lens type is not a price. We name the lens and explain its trade-off before you choose it.

04
What diagnostics will be done before the lens is chosen?

Biometry, corneal tomography and a dilated retinal examination are the minimum. Ours are on site: IOL Master 700, Pentacam, iTRACE, OCT.

05
Is the facility accredited?

Dayal Eye Centre is NABH-accredited, with three modular operation theatres and an in-patient ward.

06
What does your insurance actually cover?

Ask about the base procedure and the premium-lens or laser upgrade separately. Our billing desk will check your policy before you decide.

07
What happens if something goes wrong at 10 pm?

Ask what the after-hours pathway is. Ours is a direct line to our team on +91 81786 39701.

Cashless Treatment

How to Get an Exact Estimate for Your Eye

A number on a website is a range. Your number comes from your eye.

Consult With Our Doctors
01
Book a cataract evaluation

Optical biometry, corneal mapping, a dilated retinal examination and tonometry.

02
We tell you what the measurements show

The density and type of your cataract, how much astigmatism you have, and whether the retina behind it will limit what any lens can deliver.

03
We recommend a lens, and explain the trade-off

In plain terms. If a monofocal suits you, that is what we will recommend; we do not upsell a premium lens into an eye that cannot use it.

04
You get an itemised estimate

Surgery, lens, tests, medication, follow-up — before you decide anything.

FAQ

Cataract Surgery Cost in Gurgaon — Frequently Asked Questions

At Dayal Eye Centre, cataract surgery starts from ₹20,000 per eye. Most patients fall between ₹26,000 and ₹93,000 per eye, and it can reach ₹1,50,000 or more where a premium intraocular lens is chosen. The lens is the largest single variable. These are ranges from our verified clinical data, not quotations — your exact cost is determined after examination.

Mostly because of the lens. A monofocal and a trifocal implant are the same operation with very different implant costs. Beyond that: the surgical technique, the lens brand, the diagnostic tests your eye needs, whether one eye or both are being operated, any coexisting eye condition, and medication and follow-up.

Yes. Cataract surgery is medically necessary and is covered by most health insurance policies, subject to your policy terms and waiting periods. Dayal Eye Centre is empanelled with more than twenty insurers and TPAs and settles cashless wherever the policy allows. Note that the additional charge for a premium lens or for laser assistance is often treated as an elective upgrade and may not be reimbursed in full — ask us to check your specific policy first.

Dayal Eye Centre is empanelled under Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY), CGHS, ECHS and the Health Department, Government of Haryana. What each scheme covers, and at what package rate, is set by the scheme rather than by us. Bring your scheme card, ID and any referral paperwork, and our billing team will tell you exactly what your entitlement covers before surgery is scheduled.

Not necessarily — the right lens is the one that suits your eye and your daily vision needs, and it is chosen from measurements. Monofocal lenses give excellent distance vision but reading glasses are still needed. Multifocal and trifocal lenses reduce spectacle dependence but make halos and glare more likely. Toric lenses correct astigmatism. If your retina is not healthy, a premium lens may not deliver the vision it is designed for, and we will tell you that rather than sell you one.

The pre-surgical investigations required for the procedure are included. Additional tests your eye needs beyond the standard workup — for example extended retinal imaging or glaucoma assessment — are charged separately, and we will tell you before they are done.

Easy EMI is available through our finance partner Savein. You do not need a credit card — EMI runs through NBFC partners and select debit cards as well. A nominal processing fee may apply depending on the plan and partner bank.

Book a cataract evaluation. Once we have your biometry, corneal map and retinal assessment, we can recommend a lens and give you an itemised estimate covering surgery, lens, tests, medication and follow-up — and check what your insurance or scheme will cover — before you commit to anything.
